1 Ounce British Platinum Noble Coin.

These coins were originall produced by the Pobjoy Mint in England for the Isle of Man. The coins were only produced from 1983-1989. Although the coins are not labeled with a face value, they are still considered legal tender within Great Britain.

All coins consist of 999.5 pure investment grade platinum bullion. 

The front of the coin features an image of Queen Elizabeth II, with 'Isle of Man' and the year of minting surrounding her image. The reverse of the coin features an image of a Viking longship, sailing in the ocean. 

The platinum Noble bullion coin was the first platinum coin to be introduced to the retail precious metals market specifically for investors.

The 1-ounce British platinum noble coin is a bullion coin with a classic design. This can be seen in portraits and inscriptions appearing on the coin. The front of the coin bears the image of Queen Elizabeth II on the right profile wearing a state crown. The place of origin “Isle of Man” is also inscribed on the front. The year the platinum noble coin was minted is also written on the front.

The back of the coin is engraved with an image of a naval ship from the middle ages. The wind-powered vessel is in the middle of the sea with seagulls flying around it. The weight and the face value are also written on the reverse.

British platinum noble coins were the second to be minted at Pobjoy and English Tower mints from the 1970s to 2018.
